Uninstall shorewall sebelumnya yang terpasang di server, baru lakukan proses installasi ini

I. Instalasi Shorewall 
   
    root@jecky:/# mv shorewall* /usr/local/src
    root@jecky:/# cd /usr/local/src
    root@jecky:/src# tar -zxvf shorewall-common-4.0.15.tgz 
    root@jecky:/src# tar -zxvf shorewall-perl-4.0.15.tgz
    root@jecky:/src# cd shorewall-perl-4.0.15
    root@jecky:/shorewall-perl-4.0.15# ./install.sh
    root@jecky:/shorewall-perl-4.0.15# cd ..
    root@jecky:/src# cd shorewall-common-4.0.15
    root@jecky:/shorewall-common-4.0.15# ./install.sh
    root@jecky:/shorewall-common-4.0.15# cd .. 

2. Konfigurasi file-file shorewall  
    Ada beberapa file yang wajib dikonfigurasi, yaitu shorewall.conf, zones, policy Interface, Rules dan hosts. Semuanya terdapat dalam directory /etc/shorewall.

  Untuk file shorewall.conf yang tedapat di /etc/shorewall/shorewall.conf ubah status STARTUP_ENABLE menjadi yes. STARTUP_ENABLE=Yes. Kemudian untuk file-file yang lain dapat dilihat contoh sebagai berikut :

    masq 
    MASQ

    Interface 
    INTERFACE

    Rules 
    RULES

    Policy
    POLICY

    Zone
    ZONE
